Products & Sizing

How do I find the right skateboard or snowboard for myself?

To find the right board, consider your weight, height, and skill level.

For snowboards, your riding style (freestyle, all-mountain, or freeride) also matters. Shorter boards are easier to maneuver, while longer boards offer stability at higher speeds.

For skateboards, the width is key: narrower boards (7.5”–8”) are better for technical tricks, while wider boards (8”+) provide more stability for cruising or ramps. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you in-store or online!

How do I know what snowboard to get for my child?

Fitting a child for snowboard equipment can be a little tricky. That's why we decided to put together our famous Kids Buyer's Guide. It's updated every year with new staff picks and products as well. Check it out!

Are your products covered under warranty?

Sanction Skate & Snow makes every effort to keep our customers happy, and we stand 100% behind every product we sell. Depending on the problem, we will do what ever it takes to fix your issue.

All equipment on this web site are covered by the manufacturer's warranties. In general, snowboard and skateboard equipment is covered against manufacturer's defects for a period of one year from the time of purchase. Equipment that has been damaged from use and wear and tear is usually not covered under warranty. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with warranties.

Sanction is happy to offer repairs on damaged equipment that is not covered under warranty please contact us to find out pricing and details on damaged goods.

I just got a new snowboard setup, how do I take good care of it?

To keep your snowboard in top shape, make sure to regularly wax the base for a smoother ride and better glide. Check your edges and sharpen them as needed to maintain grip, especially after riding on ice or rough terrain. If you're not sure how to do any of this stuff, we got you! Oh also, after each session, dry off your board to prevent rusting on the edges and hardware. Store your board in a cool, dry place, avoiding direct sunlight or heat, which can warp the board. Also, inspect your bindings and screws to ensure everything stays tight and secure. Regular maintenance will keep your board riding like new!

I just got a new skateboard setup, how do I take good care of it?

To keep your skateboard in great shape, make sure to regularly clean the bearings and wheels to maintain smooth rolling. Avoid riding in wet conditions, as water can damage your deck and bearings. Check your trucks and hardware periodically to ensure everything is tight and secure. If your grip tape gets dirty, clean it with a grip tape brush or a damp cloth, but avoid soaking the board. Store your skateboard in a dry place to prevent the deck from warping. Taking these steps will help your setup last longer and perform better!

Shipping & Returns

We ship using Fed Ex or Canada post ground service we have set standard rates for shipping. Although rate, shipping adjustments may get made from time to time, as needed. If your order requires adjustments we will notify you via email for confirmation.

How do ground shipments work?

Ground shipments within Canada usually take about 4 to 5 business days from the day they leave our store but they could take as long as 10 days to BC, NF or very rural locations. Please allow 3 days to process your order. We can not guarantee that your shipment will arrive on any exact date. Sanction will provide a tracking number for your order via the email you have provided.

Do you ship outside of Canada?

Sanction ships worldwide! Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and orders may be subject to border charges.

How fast do you process orders?

Oh, we're fast. We usually pack orders the same day if they come in before 2pm EST. But generally speaking, orders ship within 1-3 days.

Do you have Christmas shipping deadlines?

If you need your order before Christmas, please make sure you place it before December 15th. Please note that we will do everything in our power to get you your shipment on time, but, we cannot guarantee any particular shipping dates. Please order early to avoid disappointment. * If you live in a rural area, you should allow 1 extra day. If very rural allow up to 3 extra days.

How does taxes and duties work?

GST will be charged to all Canadian purchases. Shipments within Ontario are subject to 13%HST

Shipments to all Atlantic provinces are now subject to 15% H.S.T.

The taxes are automatically calculated by FedEx , Paypal and Sanction Skate & Snow when you enter your shipping address.

What about return shipping?

Unfortunately, we're unable to cover the cost of shipping on returns.

Can I cancel my order?

We completely get it, we change our minds too! While we wish we could, once an order is placed, we are unable to alter or cancel it at this time. We hope to have a cancellation window one day in the future.

Should the item(s) not work out, make sure to exchange for a preferred style or return for a refund.

What is your return policy?

No restocking fee, no hassles. Returns can be made on regular priced items only within 14 days of the original purchase and with a valid R/A number. Product purchased online that is on sale or discounted in any way may be returned within 15 days of the original purchase for store credit or exchange ONLY. ALL additional shipping costs are your responsibility.

We will offer you a refund or an exchange on any item purchased from Sanction Skate & Snow as long as you follow the conditions which are listed below.

CONDITIONS:

  1. Any item to be returned MUST be shipped back to Sanction Skate & Snow prepaid, within 14 days of the original purchase with a copy of your original receipt.
  2. Any item returned MUST be in original condition, and unused.
  3. We do not refund shipping costs.
  4. All returns MUST be pre-authorized by Sanction Skate & Snow Please call or E-mail us with the details of your return. We will issue you a Return Authorization Number. Put the R/A number on the package so it is clear and legible.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all the usual suspects: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, and even Apple Pay! Unfortunately, we’re not taking magic beans or bartering just yet.

Do you offer discounts or promotions?

Absolutely! We regularly offer sales, discounts, and promotions. The best way to stay in the loop is to sign up for our newsletter and follow us on social media. Plus, look out for special events like Black Friday or end-of-season clearances!

What currency are your prices in?

All of our prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) by default. You can change the currency in the top right corner to view prices in your local currency.
