The Smolik Capsule Collection. A collaborative project between Sanction and Toronto-based artist Smolik. This collection celebrates the deep-rooted connection between skateboarding, art, and culture—serving as both a creative expression and a communal gathering point. The event is a tribute to the importance of community, aiming to celebrate creativity across all mediums.

At its core, this collection is a love letter to skateboarding.

Ryan Helstern, known artistically as Smolik, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto, Canada. His work weaves together elements of iconography, pop culture, and art history to form a distinct narrative of self-identity. A discerning eye will find references and homages to artistic figures such as Cy Twombly, Caravaggio, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Joyce Pensato, as well as nods to cultural icons like MF DOOM, New York City, and 1990s skateboarding culture.
